   + Christmas Choir

If you cannot commit to one of our weekly choirs, or if you just love singing the joyful music of Christmas, please considering joining our

Christmas Choir.  The Christmas Choir sings at the 10:00pm Christmas Eve Mass (and Christmas morning Mass for those who can!).

Christmas rehearsals are conveniently scheduled each Sunday during Advent from 9:20am - 10:20am.

   + Holy Week Choir

Much like the Christmas Choir, our Holy Week Choir can be a great opportunity for you to participate in the choir without making a huge

commitment of time.  The Holy Week Choir sings for the Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday liturgies.

Rehearsals are conveniently scheduled each Sunday during Lent from 9:20am - 10:20am.

    + 6:00pm Contemporary Ensemble

The Contemporary Music Ensemble provides music weekly for the 6:00pm mass with guitars, drums, keyboard and vocals.                                   Rehearsals are on Sundays at 4:30. Contact for more information.

Cantor Ministry

Cantors at St. Gabriel foster the participation of the assembly in the sung prayer of the liturgy.

Cantors should possess, or be willing to learn, the following skills:

+ Familiarity with the Catholic liturgy

+ Comfortable singing individually in front of a large group

+ A strong voice capable of singing in a wide range

+ Ability to prepare music quickly

+ Speak and sing with clarity

+ Willingness to commit time each week to prepare the music for the litrugy

Cantor direction is provided on an individual basis, as needed. For this reason, singers who cannot commit to regular

choir rehearsals find that joining the Cantor Ministry enables them to use their skills to serve the Lord in a way that is flexible with

demanding work and family schedules.  Contact the Director of Music for further information.

Instrumental Ministry

Are you proficient on a musical instrument?  Would you like to share your gift with our community?  Your gifts are needed at any of our

Masses!  We can accommodate your busy schedule.

Instrumentalists should possess the following skills:

+ Technical proficiency on your instrument

        + Ability to sight-read

+ Ability to transpose is helpful but not necessary

+ Ability to play within an ensemble
